TAPPY JAM 2023
A Skate & BMX charity event in memory of Matt Tapp, fundraising for CALM
The Matt Tapp memorial Jam (Tappy Jam) is a skate & BMX charity event where a community of skaters, BMXers and supporters travel to Farnborough skatepark in Hampshire to celebrate the life of Matt Tapp. The event happens every year around Matt’s Birthday (June 17th) where BMX and skate competitions are held with prizes, give-aways, music, food and great memories shared throughout the day, fund-raising for CALM (Campaign Against Living Miserably) a suicide prevention charity who’s mission is to help people end their misery, not their lives. Since 2014 Tappy Jam has raised over £23,000 for CALM.
I’ve had the privilege of attending Tappy Jam every year and have watched the amazing growth of this event. In 2023 I decided to bring along my point and shoot camera to capture some of the action and share how much joy this day brings to the community.
